Students with disabilities may need specialized services to have the opportunity to reach their potential. Rock Hill Schools Exceptional Student Education has defined processes to help determine which students are eligible for Special Educations services.
Child Find is the term that refers to identifying students as eligible for services and related services under the Special Education Law - IDEA-2004.
Child Find for Preschool-aged Children and Private School/Homeschooled Students
Rock Hill Schools' Child Find Clinic is a process by which children are screened to determine if further evaluation is necessary in order to determine eligibility for special education services. The clinic is typically utilized by pre-school children and students who are not attending one of Rock Hill's public schools such as students who attend a private school or are home-schooled.
