Who We Are
The Instruction and Accountability department serves students in Pre-K through twelfth grade in Rock Hill Schools. Curriculum (what we teach), instruction (how we teach), and assessment (how we know our students are learning) are the primary focuses of our department. The district's 27 schools and additional learning campuses are supported by professional support staff who are committed to providing a quality education to all students and believe all students can learn at high levels.
What We Do
- We provide an instructional framework aligned to the SC State Standards for teaching and learning to ensure our students will be well-prepared as lifelong learners for a rapidly changing world.
- We provide an instructional coaching model to support our teachers with meeting the needs of all students, to increase rigor in teaching, and to provide relevance to learning in an effort to increase student achievement.
- We provide on-going professional development opportunities on strategies to design work that is challenging, relevant, and meaningful for all students.
