Rock Hill Schools is committed to providing quality instructional programs that promote world-class knowledge and skills and build life and career characteristics in our students. The district's Program Options are designed to create well-rounded students by challenging them with opportunities that help meet their needs, nurture their talents, interests, and aptitudes, and expose them to new experiences.
The district currently has seven program options that are tied to a distinctive course of study. Each program seeks to develop engaging and meaningful opportunities for students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Program Options foster parental involvement and high expectations and give parents the opportunity to choose a program that will meet their child’s needs.
Traditionally, children are assigned to a public school according to where they live. Rock Hill Schools Program Options allows families to select the program that is most suited for their child. All students who live within the Rock Hill Schools attendance zone are eligible to apply for a program. Families must be enrolled in Rock Hill Schools and complete the Program Options application before they become part of the lottery. Program availability and capacity determine how many students are accepted based on the lottery results. Once students are accepted, they enroll in the host school of the program. Transportation is provided for all programs regardless of where a student resides within the district's attendance zone.
