• COVID-19/Flu Guidance 24–25 School Year

We are dedicated to the health and safety of our students and community. As we continue to work with state/local health officials, we will keep you updated on current exclusion criteria for individuals that are positive or experiencing symptoms of COVID or Flu.  This page should provide you with information you are looking for as it pertains to schools and COVID-19/FLU. We will update this page as needed throughout this school year.

If your child is sick and has symptoms of COVID or flu, please follow the steps below:

    1. Keep your child home from school
    2. Call the school nurse at your child's school to report the illness
    3. If you wish for your child to be tested, call a RH Schools testing location to schedule a time for testing
    4. Keep your child home until they meet the criteria to return to school.  See criteria below.

  • Covid/Flu Testing

Rock Hill Schools will continue to provide free COVID/Flu testing for students or staff who have symptoms of COVID or Flu. Please reach out to your school nurse or one of the testing locations listed below to schedule a test.  COVID home test results will not be accepted.

  • Positive Test/Experiencing Symptoms

Any student or staff who has tested positive for COVID or Flu are still required to isolate at home and report test results and symptoms to the school.  The length of the isolation period is determined by the severity of illness.  The district will send notifications to families when there is an identified outbreak of positive cases in their child’s classroom.
