Rock Hill Schools Announces Administrative Changes
On Sept. 10, 2024, Rock Hill Schools’ Board of Trustees approved the following administrative changes for the 2024-25 school year as recommended by district leadership.
Alicisa Johnson has been named Executive Director of Secondary Education.
She has spent the last year working as the district's Assistant Director of Secondary Instructional Programs.
She joined the district in Aug. 2023 from Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District where she served as a specialty school principal since 2014. During her time at Middle College High School she led the faculty in maintaining a 100 percent graduation rate and a 93 percent proficiency rate for NC high school exams.
Johnson began her educational career in 1991 with Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District as a math teacher. She continued her career with the district working as an assistant principal, assistant principal for instruction and a principal at both middle and high school levels.
She has a proven track record of instructional success with development of new programs and increasing student achievement through best practices.
She earned a Master of Educational Leadership in 1999 from Winthrop University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of South Carolina in 1991.
