Rock Hill Schools Announces Administrative Changes

On Aug. 22, 2022, Rock Hill Schools’ Board of Trustees approved the following administrative changes for the 2022-23 school year as recommended by district leadership. We look forward to welcoming the following individuals to Rock Hill Schools.

Daniel Beasley will join the Rock Hill Schools team as a Research Specialist for the district.

He will oversee data work for the district and work within the Instruction and Accountability Department. Beasley has been working as a school district’s Director of Testing and Accountability for eight years.

He’s also worked as an adjunct instructor at York Technical College and spent four years as a testing coordinator and data specialist at Rock Hill High School.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Winthrop University. He also holds a Master’s in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University.

Ayanna Gist Brice will join the Rock Hill Schools team as a Research Specialist for the district.

She has been working as a STEAM Coach and Math Coach at Oakdale Elementary for the last three years where she was named the school’s Teacher of the Year for the 2020 - 2021 school year.

She also has experience as a math interventionist and an elementary teacher.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston. She also holds a Master of Science in Teacher Leadership from Walden University.

Benjie Young will serve as the Director of Network Engineering in the 2022-2023 school year. Young is currently working as a technology support associate. He has been working for the district for 24 years in the technology department and has helped shape the ever-changing landscape of school-based technology.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Professional Sciences from the University of South Carolina where he also played football. He’s also a proud graduate of Northwestern High School.
