• Teachers' Choice Art Exhibit Displays RHS Student Artwork
Rock Hill Schools partners with the Arts Council of York County to present the annual “Teachers’ Choice Art Show” at the Center for the Arts in downtown Rock Hill Cultural District. Over 200 Rock Hill students have artwork currently on display, chosen by art teachers across the district.

  • Every year, since 2010, art teachers from all Rock Hill Schools partner with the staff at the Arts Council of York County to present the “Teachers’ Choice Art Show” at the Center for the Arts in downtown Rock Hill Cultural District. The annual show features selected student artwork from Rock Hill elementary, middle, and high schools. This year the exhibition, which was created in honor of Youth Art Month, will be on display Feb. 17 – March 25, with a student reception taking place on Thursday, March 2, 2023, from 5 – 7 p.m.

We are always so pleased to host this exhibit every year as we encourage the talents of tomorrow. The Rock Hill students at all three levels - high school, middle school, and elementary - display creativity and burgeoning skill. And for that, we applaud their hardworking art teachers who demonstrate every day the value of a visual arts education, whether or not their students go further in their training,” Lori Robishaw, Executive Director of the Arts Council of York County said.

Over 200 Rock Hill students have artwork currently on display, chosen by art teachers across the district. Each grade level is represented, ranging from K – 12 grade.

We hope the proud parents and caregivers of the student artists have the chance to visit the Center for the Arts and take pride in their students’ accomplishments,” Ms. Robishaw said.

Everyone is invited to attend the public reception at the Arts Council, 121 E Main Street, on March 2 to celebrate the creative efforts of these RHS art students and to share the visual representations of the artistic learning processes that are happening in the art rooms of every school in the district.
