I was born and raised in Rock Hill, SC. I was raised a Trojan! I graduated from Northwestern High School in 2001. While at Northwestern I was a member of the football and wrestling teams, serving as a team captain for both in my senior season. After graduation, I attended Coastal Carolina University where I earned a B.A. in History and went on to the M.A.T program to earn a Masters Degree in Secondary Education. While attending Coastal Carolina University I worked as a Varsity Football Assistant Coach and Varsity Head Wrestling Coach at Conway High School. Teaching and coaching are things I have wanted to do since my participation in the Teacher Cadet Program at Northwestern, as well as, the annual Powder Puff game! I started my professional career at Sumter High School in Sumter, SC. There I taught Social Studies and worked as a Varsity Football Assistant and the Head Wrestling Coach. In 2015 I moved back to the Upstate and currently reside in Spartanburg, SC. I am a Social Studies teacher and the Offensive Coordinator at Spartanburg High School. I earned a second Masters Degree in School Counseling in 2015. I have been married to my wife Amy for 10 years and we have two handsome boys Samuel (4) and Mason (2).
