    The NHS wrestling match scheduled for this evening has been canceled.  Wrestlers are to report to practice afterschool.

    The Varsity boys capped off a 4 game home stand with a big  victory of the Bruins of Lancaster, 74-55.  The Trojans used their pressure defense to create a fast paced game, maintaining a 2nd quarter double digit lead until the end.  Scoring for Northwestern was Mason Grigg with 24, Zay Martin and Ashton Parker both with 17, Joel Haney with 4 points, AJ Thompson and Zuric Harvey both with 3 points, and rounding out the scoring was Robert Brown, Qua Allison, and Isaiah Reid all with 2 points each.  The Varsity boys move to 8-1 on the season and will travel to Lancaster next Tuesday at 7:30. 

     

    The JV boys defeated Lancaster lastnight 49-39 in a home win!  Great JOB!

    The Northwestern Dance Classes present the 1st annual Fall Dance Concert on Tuesday 12/18 @ 7pm in the auditorium.

    Come out and support students as they present self-choreographed dance pieces along with cultural dances from around the world!

    Free admission.

    The Teen Science Cafe' will host a special Cafe' all about scholarships TONIGHT from 6:00 - 7:30 at the York County Museum. This special edition of the Cafe' will feature Elizabeth Hartley, well-respected scholarship guru. She will provide invaluable information on how to find and obtain scholarships for college. Her track record speaks for itself and those who have used her tips have received lots of money in scholarships for schools. This is definitely something you do not want to miss. So, mark your calendars for December 13th. Parents should attend this Cafe'. For more information, please see Mrs. Chavis in room E211.

    If you are a junior with at least a 3.0 GPA, no discipline record, and are interested in education, consider applying for Teacher Cadet 101.  It’s a unique opportunity to have a first-hand experience in the classroom.  Applications are available in A office or A215 and are due back to Mrs. Brakefield by December 14.

    Due to the 2 hour delay and FLEX being cancelled, the Gardner Webb and Converse College visits for today will be rescheduled. Please listen out for the announcements on the reschedule dates in January!

    There will be a meeting on Tuesday, December 11th at 3:45 in the NW cafeteria for anyone who is interested in being a part of the Northwestern Track and Field team this spring.

     

    If you can't attend the meeting you need to see Coach Hudgins sometime during the day on Wednesday.

    Make up school today from 4-7pm and again Thursday, and Saturday.  Students should check their Canvas accounts for MUS schedule and stop by to see Coach Stinson in MUS for current hours needed.  Please do not wait until the last minute to complete your hours as FA will be issued for any seat time not completed.
