Amy Medina

I grew up in New Hampshire and moved to Boston to attend Suffolk University. I worked in early childhood education after receiving my Bachelor degree and I decided that I really wanted to become a history teacher. My husband and I moved to SC, where he grew up, so I could attend Winthrop for my graduate degree. I did my student teaching at Northwestern in 2009 and I have been here since then! I currently teach Psychology 101, a dual enrollment course, and US History- my two biggest loves! I also serve as the Department Chair for Social Studies. My husband and I have two children and a menagerie of pets, as I am a big animal lover. I just completed a second master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology where I am most interested in motivation, leadership coaching, and persuasion. I spend my free time with my family and gardening.
