Scott Lykens
I am beginning my 6th year teaching in South Carolina, having moved from Arkansas. I have previously lived and taught in Arkansas, Maine, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
I have an M.F.A. in studio art from Kent State University of Ohio and a B.F.A. in studio art from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. My first steps as a professional artist educator began in 1999. In my "free time," I am a spouse, father, artist, homeowner, and educator. I have two children, college and high school ages, and a wonderful wife who is also a career art educator.
I look forward to guiding your children toward an appreciation of art and the joy it can bring to the life of both the maker and the viewer.
