    Intro to Construction Focus:

     

    The main purpose of this class is for you to learn the different types of careers available for those willing to work hard and learn new things. We learn the fundamentals of construction. The most important subject of this course is safety. We will cover safety with tools and on the jobsite, as well as how to correctly use personal protective equipment (PPE). Along with safety, employability skills are an area of study that is vital to students getting and maintaining employment. We will cover what it takes to be successful in the construction industry. We will engage in skill improving exercises, such as correct measurement practices, correct use of the equipment, and making precise cuts with different saws.

     

    Electricity Level 2

     

    The main purpose of this class is to learn the fundamentals of the electrical trade. The most important subject of this course is safety. We will cover safety with tools and on the jobsite, as well as how to correctly use personal protective equipment (PPE). Along with safety, employability skills are an area of study that is vital to students getting and maintaining employment. We will cover what it takes to be successful in the electrical industry. We will learn to use, and interpret the National Electric Code (NEC), read and draw wiring diagrams, different types of wiring with a focus on residential, to read and follow blueprints, and the fundamentals of electrical theory.

     

    Electricity Level 3

     

    The main purpose of this class is to extend the skills of students that have competed Level 2. As always, the most important subject of this course is safety. Level 3 reviews all the aspects of Intro and Level 2, then extends and goes into greater detail. Level 3 students completing the course with a C or higher will be prepared to enter the Electrical Field as a helper/apprentice.
