Degrees and Certifications:
Carlie Powell
I graduated from Winthrop University December 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. I began my teaching career in 2013 at The Children's School at Sylvia Circle in Rock Hill. I went through Montessori training at Lander University during my first 4 years of teaching. In May 2017 I earned my Master of Education in Montessori Education. I have lived in Rock Hill my entire life. I have 2 children, a beautiful daughter named Maggie (born in 2022) and an energetic and sweet little boy named Hunter (born in 2018). For you Clemson fans, yes he is named after Hunter Renfrow. I fully believe in the Montessori philosophy of "never help a child with a task at which he feels he can succeed."
