Degrees and Certifications:

John Williams

Hello, I am John Williams, but I go by Allen. I am from Pittsburgh, Pa, but moved to Rock Hill back in 85. I attended Northwestern High School where I played football and ran track. I was All-State in both sports and an All-American in football. After high school, I received a scholarship to play football at East Carolina, where I became a freshman All-American and majored in Communications. I later attended Johnson C. Smith University where I received my bachelor’s in communications.

Before moving back to Rock Hill and starting at South Pointe, I had spent the last 20yrs teaching and coaching high school football and track in South Florida, where I have mentored and taught countless young men and women, with over 60 receiving academic and athletic scholarships to various Division 1 universities. Also, during this time, I became certified to teach Exceptional Student Education K-12, while also obtaining my master’s in education leadership from Capella University.

I have 3 children: 2 daughters, Jalen, 30, who graduated from South Pointe in 2011, and Jahzara, 15, who attends Delray Beach Atlantic High School in Delray Beach, Fl. With 1 son, Jaha’d 22, who is finishing up his degree in Sports Medicine at Florida Atlantic University. In my spare time I like to fish, ride motorcycles, travel and spend time with my family.
