    Spring Induction Ceremony - February 26, 2025

    January 16, 2025, Announcement- 

    Eligible 6th and 7th graders will receive an invitation in the mail to join the RRMS Chapter of the National Beta Club. Membership Applications will be due February 6, 2025, and fees are $44, which can be paid online or via check/exact cash. DO NOT pay online until your student receives an official invitation as refunds are not automatic.

    Eligibility Requirements include a 3.5GPA at the end of 1st Semester 2024, and no ISS/OSS. Assistant Principals and Counselors will review behavior reports as well.

    Spring Service Project decided 1/17/25 at Beta Club Meeting - Selling Roses and Orange Crush to raise money for "blessing boxes" at Epworth Church; Beta Club members must message Mrs. Polk if they are interested in serving on the committee for this project. All students will be required to donate in some way (money for supplies, time for selling/sorting/delivering, etc). A leadership team must be formed by January 24, 2025, or another project will be considered.

    • Fall Induction Ceremony - September 17, 2024, 5:30pm, RRMS Media Center
    • Nineteen Raiders were invited to join the Beta Club in the Fall of 2024. Invitations were hand-delivered to eligible students between 8/28-8/30/2024, by their grade-level Assistant Principal or School Counselor.
    • Probation Notification
    • Probation Letters were sent home with 20 Raiders due to their GPA falling below the required 3.5 (date 8/27/24). Students must have the letter signed and returned by September 13. While students are on Probation, they continue attending meetings, working toward 1st semester service hours and improving their academic record in class. Report Cards must be shown to Mrs. Polk indicating a 3.5 GPA at the end of the first nine weeks (a photo shared through Canva Inbox is acceptable)

    • NOTE: National Beta Club has three levels of membership: Elementary (3-5); Middle (6-8) and High (9-12). Current 6th graders will be eligible for membership in the Rawlinson Road Middle School Chapter at the end of 1st semester if they have earned a 3.5 and have had no out-of-school suspensions. For students with three or more in-school-suspensions, the Counselor and Assistant Principal will determine final eligibility. Membership invitations will be sent home in March with an induction ceremony to be held in April/May.

    • Membership Invitations were mailed out on 4/10/24. Membership applications for new and returning members are due May 2, 2024, along with the required fees. (New: $44; Returning $20 - both include the one-time $15 cost of an official Beta Club tshirt and $5 school-level fee). Fees may be paid online under Club Dues, while the application must be turned in to the Beta Club Sponsor.
    • Qualifications for membership include 3.5 GPA at the end of 1st Semester and behavior review by administration. The by-laws for the RRMS Chapter of National Beta Club can be reviewed here.
