DeVonte Holloman (Class of 2009)
DeVonte Holloman is a native of Charlotte and transferred to South Pointe in his senior year. He became an all-american in that year and recorded 3 forced fumbles in a perfect 15-0 season.
Torn between University of South Carolina and Clemson, Holloman eventually commited to USC where he became the strong safety starter in his sophmore year.
In the 2013 NFL draft, Holloman was selected in the sixth round by the Dallas Cowboys.
After suffering a devasting spine contusion during a practice, Holloman returned to the field. The next season in a pre-season match up against the Baltimore Ravens, Holloman neck was re-injured and he forced to an early retirement.
After the NFL, Holloman returned to USC as a video assistant. He then became the head football coach of Beaufort High School. In 2019, Holloman was selected as the head football coach here at South Pointe, bringing his career full circle.

Stephon Gilmore (Class of 2009)
Stephon Gilmore was a very active student-athlete when he attended SPHS. He played basketball, ran track, and played football in a two-way quarterback and defensive back role.
After high school, Gilmore attended the Univeristy of South Carolina where he became a starting cornerback in his freshman season. He recorded 52 tackles in 12 games.
Gilmore was drafted to the Buffalo Bills in first round of the 2012 NFL draft. He was then traded to the New England Patriots in the 2017 season. One year later, Gilmore was a starter in SuperBowl LII and helped secure a win with a crutial forth quarter pass deflection to become SPHS first super bowl champion alumi.
Weeks after the SuperBowl, Gilmore returned to SPHS to attend his sister's Scarlette Gilmore (Class of 2019) senior night basketball game. With family still in Rock Hill, Gilmore can often be seen around town.

Jadaveon Clowney (Class of 2011)
After graduating from SPHS, Clowney went to the University of South Carolina where he became an all-american in his sophmore season for setting a record 13 quarterback tackles in a season.
He was then drafted in 2014 NFL draft in the first round by the Houston Texans.
Clowney now plays for the Seattle Seahawks.
