• In accordance with South Carolina Code of Laws and State Regulation, a Tdap vaccine is now a requirement to attend 7th -12 grades. The Tdap vaccine is a booster that protects against three serious diseases: tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough). If your child has had this immunization, please disregard. Documentation that your child has received the Tdap vaccine will need to be provided to the school. If your child still needs to get the immunization, you must get an appointment with your pediatrician or seek out a clinic to arrange for the immunization. If your child has not had the vaccine by the start of 2021-2022 school year, he/she will have 30 days to get the vaccine. After the 30th day, if your child still has not had the vaccine your child will not be permitted to attend school until the school receives documentation that the vaccine has be given.
