Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Bailey Edmonds
My name is Bailey Edmonds, and this is my second year teaching 5th grade at Independence Elementary, and my 15th year in education!
I grew up in LaPlace, LA (a small town about 30 minutes from New Orleans). In 2005, I graduated from Louisiana College with my Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education, and moved to Clinton, SC where I took my first teaching position. Then, I spent the next eight years teaching in Greenville County. My family moved to Rock Hill in the fall of 2014. I am currently a student at Gardner-Webb University pursuing a Masters degree in Educational Leadership.
My husband, Jonathan and I have three boys that all attend Independence: Emrick (4th grade), Becker (2nd grade), and Ellis (K5). We love spending time together anywhere, but especially outdoors. You can usually find us in our backyard playing baseball or football or picking vegetables and herbs from our little garden! Being in a family with three young boys forces us to stay pretty active, but we wouldn't have it any other way! Our family has an agreement that during football season, we are avid LSU fans (GEAUX TIGERS!), and during basketball season, we are avid UNC fans (GO TARHEELS!).
One of my greatest passions, is the students I teach! Once you're one of "my kids," you're always one of my kids!
