Mrs. Dawn Cobb
Hi! My name is Dawn Bradley and I am thrilled to be a 3rd grade teacher at Independence Elementary! This is my 18th year of teaching, and all 18 years have been at IDES. Over the years, I have taught kindergarten, second grade, and third grade. Third grade has become my favorite! I grew up in Virginia but have spent the last 35 years in Rock Hill. I graduated from Winthrop University with a B.S. in Early Childhood and from Columbia College with a Masters in Divergent Learning. This year I will be mentoring a teacher candidate from Winthrop. Away from school, I spend time enjoying hobbies and catching up with my family and friends. I have three children, two daughters and a son. My other “child” has paws. Charlie, my dog, is a Newfoundland – Bulldog mix. Activities I really like to do are read, cook, watch movies, and explore new destinations on vacation. I also love to be outdoors walking with my dog, working in my yard, or sitting on the back porch relaxing.
Independence is a wonderful school! I am looking forward to meeting and working with my new students and parents this year. Together we can make it the best year ever!
