During the testing window of September 8th-21st, kindergarten students will participate in one-on-one assessments with their teachers in the area of Reading and Math using FastBridge, a curriculum based assessment. FastBridge is used to inform teachers of each student’s ability in multiple areas and to help us monitor student growth over time. The data provided by FastBridge assessments also gives our teachers important information that is used for planning lessons to meet the unique instructional needs of each student.
Although the FastBridge test is not an assessment you can prepare for by studying, there are a few things parents can do to help ensure students are prepared and ready for testing. Please make certain your child is on time to school, well rested, and has eaten a good breakfast each day they test. The testing calendar below indicates the specific dates of testing. First grade students will also participate in FastBridge (Reading only) during the following testing window: September 8th-October 5th.
