Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education Master's degree in Sports Management
I am Kathi Ross and I teach fifth grade at Belleview Elementary. I have been at Belleview Elementary for 21 years. This will be my tenth year teaching fifth grade.
I was born and raised in Rock Hill, SC. I attended Belleview Elementary as a child, and now I am fortunate enough to teach here. I graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1991 where I played basketball, volleyball, and softball. I then attended Winthrop University on a basketball scholarship. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I also have a Master's degree from the US Sports Academy in Sports Management. I then coached Girl's Varsity Basketball at Rock Hill High School for 12 years. I gave up coaching to be able to spend more time with my family. Hopefully, when my kids get older, I will be able to coach again.
All of my family lives in the Rock Hill area. I have two older brothers, one older sister, and two great parents. I also have a wonderful husband, Chuck, and we have been married for twelve years. We have three wonderful children. Our first son, Lane Coleman Ross, is eleven and is in the sixth grade at Springfield. Our second child, Paizlei, is seven and in the second grade. Our youngest child is Bailei. She is five years old and will be starting Belleview this year. Our children keep us busy with baseball, football, basketball, and playing outside.
When I am not teaching, I love to work out, watch sports, read, listen to music, and go to country concerts. I am a huge fan of Tracy Lawrence and George Strait. My dream is to meet George Strait in person one day. I love to travel to Nashville, Tennessee and to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. My favorite thing to do is to spend time with my husband, my family, and friends. We always have so much fun!!!!
