Mrs. Sharon Lee
My name is Sharon Lee and I am the ESOL teacher at Independence Elementary and Belleview Elementary. I am beginning my 20th year as an educator, with the majority of my years being spent as a first grade teacher prior to moving to ESOL. I love the challenge of teaching students kindergarten through fifth grades that are learning English as a second language. I pull groups of children to work on reading, writing, and other content areas. I also work closely with the classroom teachers and often push-in to classrooms to offer accommodations to my students.
I am originally from Irmo, SC but have remained in Rock Hill after coming to college at Winthrop University. My family consists of a husband and two kiddos. Connor is my oldest and is starting Rock Hill High School this year. Caroline is the youngest and will be in 7th grade at Dutchman Creek Middle School. We stay busy driving our kids to their after school activities and sports. When I am not in the car driving kids around town, I love to read, cook, and enjoy running with my friends.
I am lucky to be part of such a caring, hard working group of teachers, staff, and administrators at Independence Elementary. I am looking forward to seeing what this year has in store for us.
