All About Ms. Ellison
My name is Kathryn Ellison. This is my third year at Saluda Trail, but my sixth year with Rock Hill Schools. I have been an educator for 19 years, as both a library media specialist and a classroom teacher. I have a B.S. in English, Secondary Education (2002) and a Masters in Library Science (2013). I have taught in both North and South Carolina. I love reading, writing, taking walks, and spending time with my two children and my husband.
What is your reason WHY?
My "Why" is a wish to help all students develop literacy skills that will empower them to succeed and will inspire a lifelong love of reading.
Battle of the Books Information
Battle of the Books is a competition team. Students read a selection of ten books from the South Carolina Junior Book Award Nominee list for that year (2024-2025). These books are available in print for checkout in the media center. Congratulations to the six students who made our 2025 BOB Team. They will be competing at the end of February 2025.
