Ms. Lauren Hoelke

I’m thrilled to be joining the India Hook Elementary family as the lead teacher in our self-contained 3rd–5th grade Building Bridges classroom for the 2025–2026 school year. I began my journey with the district in January 2024, teaching in the Unique Pathways 2 classroom at Old Pointe Elementary.

Originally from South Jersey—just 40 minutes from the beach and 15 minutes from the reigning Super Bowl champions—I’m a proud Eagles and Phillies fan. I earned my undergraduate degree from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania, where I received dual licensure in Early Childhood and Special Education and competed in four years of collegiate soccer. I later completed my master’s in School Counseling in Wilmington, Delaware, where I also played a fifth year of college soccer.

Outside the classroom, I love spending time with friends and family and coaching youth soccer for Charlotte Independence. I’m passionate about creating a positive, inclusive, and empowering environment for my students, and I’m excited for the opportunity to make a lasting impact. I look forward to all that’s ahead this school year with the incredible team at India Hook!
