American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act-Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds (ESSER III) Survey
As required by Federal and State regulations, at least twice a year the district must survey the community. On March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act was signed into law. The US Department of Education is providing an additional $121.9 million for the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds (ESSER III). This legislation will award these grants to state educational agencies for the purpose of providing school districts with emergency relief funds to address the impact that COVID-19 has had, and continues to have, on elementary and secondary schools across the nation.
Rock Hill Schools will receive $34.8 million to address needs related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The district is seeking public input on the spending of the ARP-ESSER III allocation. A minimum of 20 percent of the allocation must be spent on activities to address learning loss. Funds cannot be used for employee bonuses.
As required by Federal and State regulations, at least twice a year, the district must survey the community for ESSER III and ARP. Please complete the questionnaire to provide feedback to the school district to assist in making decisions.
Please read the plan and then fill out the survey below by Sept. 13 at 5 p.m.
