Rock Hill Schools Announces Administrative Changes

On Jan.10, 2023, Rock Hill Schools’ Board of Trustees approved the following administrative changes for the 2022-2023 school year as recommended by district leadership.  We look forward to welcoming the following individual into her new role.

Heather Wilson will join the Rock Hill Schools team as the District Multilingual / English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Coach.

Heather Wilson has been working as an ESOL teacher in the Rock Hill School district since 2008 with her most recent assignment at Rock Hill High School. Prior to RHHS, she served as an ESOL teacher at India Hook Elementary School and Mount Gallant Elementary School. Ms. Wilson began her journey with the Rock Hill School district as a sixth-grade teacher at Rawlinson Road Middle School from 1999-2008.

In addition to the decades of experience she brings to this role, Heather Wilson was part of the Curriculum Mapping Leadership Design Team for math and science, earned ESOL Add on Certification, and served as a new teacher mentor. She is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. In 2011, Heather Wilson was named Teacher of the Year.

Heather Wilson earned a Masters of Reading in Education from Winthrop University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Winthrop University.
