Summer Reading Challenge

Challenge yourself to read at least 10 hours this summer.  Keep track on our special “Travel the World” bookmark. Each time you read 15 minutes check off a box.  If you check all the boxes you will have read 10 hours.  Return the bookmark to the library by September 1, 2023 and you are eligible for prizes.  If you don’t read all 10 hours, it’s okay...there are still prizes for all who participate.

BOOKMARKS and INTRUCTIONS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED DURING THE LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL.

Read for a total of:

· 5 hours = Small Treat

· 8 hours = Small Treat  + Bookmark

· 10 hours = Small Treat + Bookmark + Rubber Bracelet + Free Book from the December Bookfair*

(*Choices at bookfair to be later determined)

YOU CAN STILL PARTICIPATE IF YOU DON'T GET AN OFFICIAL BOOK MARK

If you misplace your bookmark...or miss getting one at school, you can create your own using construction or drawing paper

Cut a blank piece of drawing or construction paper into a rectangle 2 inches x 6 inches.

Just draw a picture on one side of a blank piece of construction paper.

On the other side, put a check mark down every time you read for 15 minutes.

Write your name on the book mark and return it by September 1.
