Mrs. Deborah Redmond

My name is Deborah Redmond, and I am honored to be back at Lesslie Elementary School. I am from Roxboro, NC. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC. I retired from the Union County School System in 2008 with 30 years of service, and from the Rock Hill District 3 School System in 2018 with 10 years of service. I continue to work as a certified substitute teacher because teaching is my gift and purpose.

I have a true passion for working with children. Helping each child progress in all areas of their development—academically, socially, emotionally and physically—is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment.

Personally, I am the wife of Rev. Maurice Redmond, the senior pastor of Assurance Community Bible Ministry in Charlotte, NC. We have two adult children, Maurice and Monique Redmond.

I enjoy singing, cooking, gospel music, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with friends and family.
