Dr. Clarissa Jones

Dr. Clarissa Jones is thrilled to become a part of the Lesslie Elementary family as the Dean of Students. Originally from Kentucky, she brings a diverse educational background and a wealth of experience to her new role. Her academic journey began at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, where she earned her bachelor's degree. Determined to further her expertise in the field of education, she pursued and successfully achieved a Master's in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. Continuing her pursuit of knowledge, she completed her Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University. Dr. Jones has an extensive and varied background in education, having worked in both K-12 and higher education settings. As a wife to a military veteran and a dedicated ministry leader, she has dedicated over 13 years to education in various states, including Kentucky, Texas, Florida, and now South Carolina.

Together, they are blessed with two children: one is a junior in high school, and the other is an 8th grader. For now, her favorite book is, "Who Moved My Cheese?" by Spencer Johnson. Additionally, she values quality moments with her family, especially engaging in friendly competition during board games (where she's always determined to win!) and expressing her creativity through arts and crafts.

Best Regards,

Clarissa Jones, Ed.D.
