It's National Poetry Month! Let's celebrate! National Poetry Month was inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in 1996. Over the years, it has become the largest literary celebration in the world with schools, publishers, libraries, booksellers, and poets celebrating poetry’s vital place in our culture. For the next two weeks, the South Pointe Impulse lit mag staff will celebrate National Poetry Month with trivia, original poems posted around the school, and poem in a pocket day on Thursday. Today, add a poem to your email footer and brighten someone’s day! Happy National Poetry Month!
