  • Make-up school will be held in the Media Center on the Following dates:

     

    April 29th 8am to 4pm

     

    May 2, 3, and 4 (4pm-7pm)

     

    May 9, 10, and 11 (4pm-7pm)

     

    May 16, 17, and 18 (4pm-7pm)

     

    May 23, 24, and 25 (4pm-7pm), May 27 (8am-4pm)

     

    May 30, 31, and June 1( 4pm-7pm)

  • I.C.E Awards

     

    For the week of April 23rd, South Pointe would like to congratulate the following individuals for their continued exhibition of our I.C.E. policies:

     

     

    For Integrity: Coach Rainey would like to recognize Khaine Rodgers? (I can't read the card).

     

    For Community: Ms. Marshall would like to recognize Isaiah Matthews.

     

    For Excellence: Ms. Mack would like to recognize Ty'Asia McCullough.

     

    For Staff: Mrs. Rainey would like to recognize Ms. Lund in the community category.

  • Daily Announcements

    School:

    End of Course Testing will begin Friday.

    All AP, IB, and US History tests will be given Friday, May 19.

    All English 1 tests will be given Monday, May 22.

    All Algebra 1 & Intermediate Algebra tests will be given Tuesday, May 23.

    And All Biology 1 tests will be given Wednesday, May 24.

     

    These test will be administered online. If you are in one of these classes and are having difficulty with your laptop, please let your teacher know so that arrangements can be made for you to test.

     

    Any student who did not pick up their yearbook Friday, stop by room A-110 during second or fourth block or after school. There are also only 12 yearbooks remaining. See Jessica Kramer if you are interested in purchasing a copy.

     

    Make-Up School will held in the Media Center Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for the entire  month of May from 4-7 p.m. Be sure to attend if you need to complete hours and be sure all make-up school forms are signed and returned by Friday, May 19. If there are any questions or concerns contact Shimeka Hunt @shunt@rhmail.org. 

     

    Attention rising juniors and seniors! If you signed up for an AP or IB class for next year, you must see Laura Hall in the gallery during your lunch Friday, May 19 to pick up your summer assignments. Again, if you signed up for an AP or IB class for next year, make sure to see Laura Hall tomorrow or Friday in the gallery during your lunch to get your summer assignments.

     

    Make sure to turn in library books and pay all fines and fees.

     

    Seniors/Scholarship:                                                                                           

    Seniors, please get your baby pictures in to Anthony Thomas as soon as possible. You can bring an actual picture to scan or email a picture to athomas@rhmail.org.

     

    The due date for the South Pointe On Pointe Honor Cords has been extended until this Friday, May 19.

     

    Attention seniors. Are you planning to entering the workforce after graduation, or may be still undecided about your next step? If so, there will be a short meeting in the media center tomorrow at 11 a.m. to learn about great opportunities for you.

     

    Senior day will be this Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Raffle tickets will be sold at first and third lunch for $1 apiece. Raffle tickets enter the student for a chance to win prizes like a chance to pie a teacher during senior day, a laptop backpack, a projector, a Dell laptop, and much more!

     

    Pre-purchased T-shirts for senior day were handed out today during first and third lunch.

     

    The Impulse literary magazine staff of South Pointe would like to thank everyone for your support of the school's literary magazine.

    Students who purchased a magazine but did not pick up the copy can go to Carlo Dawsons room, A-213, to pick up their magazines. Students may still purchase magazines through Friday, May 19. Students in the magazine $2 and others for $5.

     

     

    Sports:

    The basketball banquet will be today at 6 p.m. If you have any question please see Coach Melvin Watson.

     

    Club:

    Anyone who was not able to attend the academic awards ceremony, please stop by the admin office to pick up your award.
