Update on Remote Learning 3/27

Good evening Rock Hill HS students and parents,

First, I want to commend our students, parents, and staff for the way everyone is taking on the challenge of us being out of school and having to tackle remote learning for an extended time frame. Students should be using Monday, March 30, and Tuesday, March 31, to finish all work that was assigned for the initial 10 days school was out. Teachers will still be holding office hours on these days as support, but will not be giving additional assignments. The teachers will also be finalizing instructional plans for Phase 2 of our remote learning. These plans will cover the dates for Wednesday, April 1, through Friday, April 17. No assignments will be included for Monday, April 6, through Friday, April 10, as we will be off for spring break. All assignments will be included on Canvas. More information about Phase 3 assignments which will cover Monday, April 20, through Friday, May 1, will come out at a later date.

Students, please be sure to fill out this survey (https://forms.gle/7d7FqeEQPXKsxQ4p9) by the end of the day on Monday, March 30, to assist our administration with supporting your needs. One very important piece of information on this survey has to do with your access to the internet at home. Please respond so we will know who will need paper packets to complete their work. We will mail packets only to individuals that do not have internet access. These packets will be mailed out by the middle of next week. All students with internet access should be completing their assignments via Canvas. Details on how to submit the paper packets will be included in the mailing.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at oahl@rhmail.org .

Again, thank you to everyone for your efforts during these challenging times. The Bearcat family will get through this.
