ATC 2109 Completer Ceremony
404 students were recognized tonight as completers. Over $80,000 in scholarship money given away tonight to students! York Tech awarded 30 dual credit students scholarships if they apply to attend YTC.
Don’Quese is a Northwestern High School student who has completed the Intro to Teaching program. He has been accepted into the Call Me Mister Program and Claflin University. The program is awarding Don’Quese a $5000 scholarship.
The 2018/2019 recipient of the Frankie L. Pittman Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $2000 is awarded to An Nguyen. An is a Rock Hill High Student. She will be attending Clemson University where she will continue her health science studies as a biology major.
It is my honor to announce that the 2018/2019 recipient of the
Dan M. Sherer Sr. Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $2000 is awarded to Sydney Bonaparte.
Ms. Leslie Hatheway, presented two $1,250 scholarships on behalf of One Blood formerly the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas, which assists schools with blood drives. This year’s scholarship winners are Sydney Johnson and Mallory Stanley.
ATC teacher and HOSA advisor. Mrs. Hainey is presenting a $500 ATC Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) Scholarship. It is my pleasure to announce that the 2018-2019 HOSA Scholarship in the amount of $500 is awarded to Katelyn Jackson.
We would like to recognize Corey Ostrower. We are proud to say that Corey has just today been named as the Catawba Region’s Work-Based Learning Student of the Year 2019. Corey is a Northwestern High School student and a double completer in electricity and culinary arts.
Janiah Davis is a Rock Hill High School student and a cosmetology completer who plans to attend College of Charleston and major in biology. Janiah was not only chosen as the ATC Technology Champion but also the Catawba Region Technology Champion 2019.
Please welcome Ms. Donna Medley, owner of CovRing Day Spa. This $250 scholarship was created in honor of Mrs. Medley’s son, Delonte Medley, to help financially assist a student in the field of cosmetology. It is my pleasure to present this $250 scholarship to Bryanna Patten.
