Student Athletes

2020 Physical Form

STMS Conditioning-Workout 2020

Dear Parents and Student-Athletes,

We are aware we are facing uncertain times and situations.  Our Saluda Trail coaching staff hopes that everyone has remained healthy through your time away from school.

We have received limited information about our return to school and athletics in the summer and fall this upcoming school year, but want to give you all the information we have.  Right now we do not have an official start date for practices but we are anticipating and hoping that July may be the time we will get to start conditioning.  If July is our allowable start time, a few things must be in place in order for each student athlete to be able to participate:

·       All student-athletes must have a completed physical form from their doctor, or a licensed physician (see attached form)

·       All student-athletes must have a completed Parent Permission Form on file (see attached form)

·       We also recommend that each student-athlete should start now, at home, preparing for the upcoming season by acclimatizing (getting used to the heat) by running and conditioning outdoors (see attached conditioning plan)

Student-athletes that complete these 3 steps will be prepared to participate as soon as we are allowed to start our conditioning practices.  Student-athletes without the completed forms WILL NOT be allowed to participate nor attend any practices.  We ask that you please go ahead and schedule appointments to have a sports physical taken care of as soon as possible.  The sport’s physical can be completed by any physician including CVS MinuteClinic or Doctor’s Care.

We expect to have more information on the way practices will run in the next few weeks as the State High School League and District Athletic Directors meet and we will relay that information on to you all.  Thank you to our wonderful parents in the rising 8th grade class and welcome to our new rising 7th grade families.  We plan on a successful season in the near future and hopeful to have your continued support through this new time!

Thank you Wildcat Families,
