CPES School News Recordings

The CPES Fifth Grade News Team meets each week to plan, script, film, edit and produce a school news show spotlighting the Cherry Park Elementary School Community.  The students on the news team are learning how to use software and editing tools as well as developing their communication and public speaking skills. 

 A new episode is created every two to three weeks.  The episodes are archived here.

Information for Fourth Graders Interested in being on next year's team...

The team is selected in the Spring of each year.  Interested fourth graders apply then for the next school year's team. Students must fill out an application which includes teacher recommendations and writing prompts.  Video auditions are then held to make the final selection.  Students must be able to meet once a week at 7:15 for team meetings (the days are TBD). More detailed information will be presented to all fourth graders in the Spring.
