Learner Profile: I believe I am strongly driven by the Learner Profile Characteristics of Communicator and Balance.  I feel that the root to strength and knowledge comes through our ability to communicate with others our thoughts.  I strive to do this in my career and as an individual.  I have to also say balance drives me because I work hard to find balance in my life.  If you do not have balance between all of the elements in your life then you can not be successful at any of them.  

Received the Magic award for innovative teaching in middle school in South Carolina, Service in education of the Civil Rights movement for The Friendship Nine, Teacher of the Year Nominee 2015-2016, ELA department head for 6 years, and Curriculum and Instruction Leader.
