Rock Hill Schools Athletic Media Plan

 All media requests will be evaluated by the Athletic Department Staff.  It is the expectation of the Rock Hill Schools that members of the media cover our programs and/or teams in the same manner as they cover all programs and/or teams across the district. 

All media access requests must be submitted through the Media Request Form on a weekly basis. Requests may be submitted beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday of the week of the event and must be submitted no later than 12:00 p.m. on the Wednesday before the scheduled event.

Once the request is received, the media representative will receive an approval or denial via email from the Athletic Director of the home team.

 Approved Media

  • Broadcast, National Digital Media, & Print Media.  All of these organizations have editorial oversight.
    • WRHI, Charlotte Observer, The Herald, Broadcast affiliates - CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, etc.
    • Local media from visiting teams coming to cover the games in our facility.
  • Campus Media.
    • Yearbook, Journalism, and Videographers from the school's educational programs.

Non-Approved Media 

  • Recruiting Services and Social Media Accounts

Anyone not receiving sideline access can still purchase a ticket and sit in the stands to cover the game.  They can use photo/video equipment from the stands provided it meets all venue requirements.

 - All media personnel will need to check in at the designated area.

Live Stream – Audio or Video

Permission to Audio Stream or Live Stream Rock Hill Schools games must be received in advance in writing from the Superintendent or their designee. 

Varsity Football 

All media access requests must be submitted to Rock Hill Schools via the Media Request Form by 12:00 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to the scheduled event.   

District 3 Stadium – You will pick up your media credentials at the pass gate. (Constitution Road Entrance) 

District 3 South Stadium – You will receive your media credentials at the main gate.

Interviews - Any interview with the Head Coach or players of either team will take place after the game.  Coaches and players will be given a chance to clear the field and enter the locker rooms prior to interviews.  If you wish to speak with the Head Coach or any of the players, coordinate your request through one of the Athletic Director at the conclusion of the game.  All interviews should be limited to 5 minutes or less.

School Yearbook/Journalism – School-based media should have a Yearbook or Journalism ID badge always displayed. 

Sidelines - All media will remain outside the team areas at all times.  The team areas are the area between the 25-yard lines, field of play, and locker rooms.
