The mission of the Rock Hill Schools Office of School Nutrition is to provide high quality, nutritionally sound food service programs that support student learning, health, and development.  (View Rock Hill School District Three of York County Board Policy ADF - District Wellness)  In cooperation with our food service management company, all schools serve a nutritious breakfast and lunch every day.  All meals served meet nutritional standards established by federal (U.S. Department of Agriculture) and state (South Carolina Department of Education) regulations.


2025-2026 School Year

Rock Hill Schools is offering free meals for all students for the 2025-2026 school year.

  • Under the Healthy, Hunger Free Kids Act of 2010, school districts are able to participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program to increase access of free school meals for students. All students will receive free meals without needing to fill out an application. If you have any questions about Healthy, Hunger Free Kids Act of 2010, CEP, or food service, please contact Gary Black, Director of School Nutrition.

In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, age, marital status, family/parental status, income derived from a public assistance program, political beliefs, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity, in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA (not all bases apply to all programs). Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.
To file a program discrimination complaint, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, AD-3027, found online at How to File a Program Discrimination Complaint and at any USDA office or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. To request a copy of the complaint form, call (866) 632-9992. Submit your completed form or letter to USDA by:

                      Summer Meals 2026

Rock Hill Schools will be offering free breakfast and lunch meals for all school-aged children again this summer! Meals will be offered Monday through Thursday and Monday through Friday at select locations.

The program starts on June 8 and will run until July 24.

This year our summer meal locations are:

Rock Hill High
Cherry Park Elementary
India Hook Elementary

Please see below for dates, times, and available food at each location.

Cherry Park Elementary will serve breakfast and lunch Monday through Thursday.
June 8 – July

Breakfast: 7:30 - 8 a.m., Lunch: 10:00 a.m. -11:30 p.m.

India Hook Elementary will serve breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday.
June 8 - July 24

Breakfast 7:30-8:30 a.m., Lunch: 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Rock Hill High will serve breakfast and lunch Monday through Thursday.
June 8 - July 2
Breakfast: 8:00 am – 9:00 a.m., Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Once you arrive at the school, follow the signs to where the meals will be available.

Please note: Meals will not be available on July 6 as the district will be closed. India Hook Elementary will be closed on June 19th.
