The Exceptional Student Education department advocates and works for the over 2,700 students with special needs enrolled in various programs for students with disabilities throughout the district. Over 300 teachers, therapists, employment specialists, and assistants are employed to meet the unique, individualized needs of students who have been found eligible for specialized instruction and services. Instruction is provided through a variety of models including consultative, collaborative, and inclusive, as well as pull-out resource services and specialized services and programs.

Please contact Amanda Martin Knight at armartin@rhmail.org for all students transferring into RHSD and all students that transfer out of RHSD but are still in South Carolina.
