My name is Erik Gommer, and I am a senior Elementary Education major at Winthrop University. Starting this semester, I have the pleasure of being a part of Mrs. Wilson’s 3rd grade class, and I cannot wait to see firsthand what it takes to be a great teacher!

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Elementary program at WU, and I am also planning to get the Early Childhood Education and Gifted & Talented add-ons. Furthermore, my previous teaching experiences have been at the Macfeat preschool at Winthrop, the Greenway Adventure Seekers camps, and my church’s Children’s Ministry.

I live in Fort Mill with my parents, sister, and two kitties, Kona and Aarushi. When I am not at school, I enjoy writing, filmmaking, watching Star Trek, and playing computer games with my friends.

This is my second field experience in the Rock Hill School District, and it is an honor and a pleasure to be at India Hook Elementary. It has been wonderful getting to know the faculty and staff, and I am excited to learn and grow here!
