• Challenger Summer Camp

    Challenger Summer Camp is being offered over the summer for all Rock Hill Schools 4K – 5th Graders.

    What is Offered?

    Challenger Summer Camp is an 8-week camp with curriculum and units of study that have been written to provide enrichment for students over the summer.

    In week 1, your child will learn about community helpers with on-site field trips from the local police department, fire department, the public library, district nurses and teachers.  They will learn about community and community helpers during the first week of camp.

    Week 2 of camp is based on our global community and your child will visit a local museum and learn about other countries and cultures.

    Week 3 of camp is curricular enrichment activities on weather and nature and we will explore at local parks in Rock Hill.

    In week 4 of camp, students will explore animals, habitats, and fossils through partnerships with local zoos and books about all different types of animals.

    During weeks 5 and 6, students will receive STEAM engineering and inventor enrichment through building and exploration, as well as through a STEAM field trip. 

    Weeks 7 and 8 will be sports enrichment activities where students will have on-site field day activities at Cherry Park Elementary, and access to sports lessons through various athletic partnerships for tennis, running, basketball, soccer, etc.

    Where is Challenger Summer Camp?

    Challenger Summer Camp will be at Cherry Park Elementary School,  1835 Eden Terrace, Rock Hill, SC, 29730.

    General Registration Options

    OPTION 1: The full 8 weeks of Summer Challenger Camp
    8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily.
    Dates: June 6–10, June 13-17, June 20-24, June 27-July 1, July 11-15, July 18-22, July 25-29, August 1-5
    8 weeks of camp cost $1400 total, non-refundable, and the camp fee of $700 will be drafted on May 31st and the remaining half of $700 will be drafted on June 27th.

    OPTION 2: The first 4 weeks of Summer Challenger Camp
    8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily.
    Dates: June 6–10, June 13-17, June 20-24, June 27-July 1.
    4 weeks of camp cost $700 total and the camp fee of $700, non-refundable, will be drafted on May 31st.

    OPTION 3: The last 4 weeks of Summer Challenger Camp
    8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily.
    Dates: July 11-15, July 18-22, July 25-29, August 1-5
    4 weeks of camp cost $700 total and the camp fee of $700, non-refundable, will be drafted on June 27th.

    *Note: Pickup and drop-off times will run 1 hour before/after start and end times. There is no Summer Camp the week of the July 4th holiday.  Payments are non-refundable.



    Free & Reduced Lunch or Rock Hill Schools Employee Registration Options


    OPTION 1: The full 8 weeks of Summer Challenger Camp
    8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily.
    Dates: June 6–10, June 13-17, June 20-24, June 27-July 1, July 11-15, July 18-22, July 25-29, August 1-5.
    8 weeks of camp cost $1200 total, non-refundable, and half of the camp fee of $600 will be drafted on May 31st and the remaining half of $600 will be drafted on June 27th.

    OPTION 2: The first 4 weeks of Summer Challenger Camp
    8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily
