Welcome to Art!

My name is Samantha Ellison and I am so excited to start my first year of teaching here at Oakdale Elementary. I am originally from Richmond, VA and also lived in Mooresville, NC before moving to the Rock Hill area this year. I have an extensive background in various mediums: drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, and fibers to name a few. I also have a vast knowledge of art history, concepts, and themes. In my free time, I am always crafting and creating and enjoy spending time with my husband Brandon and our dog Mazzy. We love to go hiking and exploring the great outdoors. I also love cooking, listening to music, watching movies, and gardening. I look forward to sharing creativity and expression with all my students at Oakdale and to show them how art relates to other subjects, connects in daily life, and helps analyze the world around us.
