Hello! My name is Stephanie Carter, and I am excited to begin my 25th year of teaching for the Rock Hill Schools at Old Pointe Elementary.  For the past four years, I have served as a District Academic Interventionist at Richmond Drive and Ebenezer Avenue.  Prior to that, I taught 5th grade at Independence and Belleview Elementary and 7th grade at Castle Heights Middle School.  I graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and a Masters in Divergent Learning from Columbia College.

 

In addition to my love of teaching, I enjoy reading, traveling, four-wheeling, shopping, and spending time with my family.  I am married and have two sons, Zach and Mason.  Zach just recently graduated in May from Erskine College with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Healthcare Management.  Mason is a sophomore in the Honors College at the College of Charleston majoring in Communications and Historic Preservation.  I am so excited to be a part of the Old Pointe family and look forward to another wonderful year of teaching!
