Degrees and Certifications:
Chynthia Siddons is originally from Iron Station, NC. (A very small town about an hour North of South Pointe High.)
A United States Air Force Veteran, Mrs. Siddons earned a BS in Science (Major Chemistry, Minor Biology) in Lawton, Oklahoma at Cameron University. She earned her Masters in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She was a lateral entry teacher and completed her teaching certification by taking additional coursework. She has been teaching high school for over 15 years. She has taught at Cape Fear Community College as an adjunct professor and loves teaching science.
Three of her children are currently serving full time in the military. (Air Force, Coast Guard, and Marines).
A grandmother of four, Mrs. Siddons recently moved to Rock Hill due to her husband's job.
She has previously taught AP Chemistry, IB Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, Academic Chemistry, Earth Science, and Physical Science. She served on the CFCC Chemical Technology advisory committee, was teacher representative for PTSO, and was the Chemistry Cluster leader.
This year she is teaching AP Chemistry, Physical Science and CP Chemistry. Also, she is helping with Beta Club at South Pointe as she was the sponsor at her old school for over 7 years.
