I am from just north of the border in Charlotte, NC.  I was a member of the 162nd Corps of Cadets at Oak Ridge Military Academy in Greensboro, NC. I attended Appalachian State University in the mountain city of Boone, NC. I have taught IB History of the Americas and Civics and Economic courses at Marvin Ridge High School before beginning my career at Northwestern.
