Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Sarah Rogers
My name is Sarah Rogers. I am one of the eight District Elementary Academic Interventionists in Rock Hill Schools.
Originally from West Virginia, I obtained my Bachelors in Elementary Education from Fairmont State University in 2000. Upon graduating I moved to SC and began my teaching career in Chester County at Lewisville Elementary, where I taught for 8 years. For the past 10 years I have been teaching in Rock Hill Schools, 8 of which were at Richmond Drive Elementary in both 3rd and 4th grades. In 2011, I obtained my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with and emphasis in Mathematics from Winthrop University. During the past two years I have served in my current role at Northside and Ebinport Elementary Schools.
In my role as a District Elementary Academic Interventionist it is my duty to do my best to fill the gaps in student learning, through the use of small groups (in both Reading and Math) and a variety of strategies and activities, so that students may be successful during their regular grade level classroom instruction. With collaboration between classroom teachers, parents, students, and myself, students can and will be successful.
