Degrees and Certifications:
Dr. Jacqueline Persinski
I am originally from Waco, Texas and graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.A in History (1998). Following, I moved to South Carolina to attend Winthrop University and earned my M.A. in History (1999) and an M.A.T in Social Studies (2003). I received my first teaching position at Darlington High School where I taught Global Studies in the 9th grade Academy for two years; I then taught at Monroe Middle School for a period of 3 years and earned my administration degree from UNCC. I was a teacher and the Department Chair in the Social Studies Department at Northwestern High School for ten years before becoming an Assistant Principal for Curriculum. While a Trojan, I completed my doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Gardner-Webb University in 2015.
I am married and have a fabulous 4 year old son, Alek. My spare time is spent with family and training for half-marathons. My first marathon was the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, DC in October of 2019. Second one was in Myrtle Beach in March 2020.
Overall, I love being a member of the Trojan family, and I look forward to working with our students and teachers.
