Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Ann Mauney

My name is Ann Mauney and I have been teaching in the Rock Hill School District for over thirty-two years.  I have lived in Rock Hill my entire life. I graduated from Winthrop University and received my master’s degree in Elementary Education.

My passion in education is teaching math.   Watching children discover new concepts by using manipulatives is just an incredible experience for me.  I feel that when children experience learning through the hands-on approach, they retain that knowledge longer and with a better understanding.

I enjoy spending time with my family.  My oldest daughter, Kaitlin, is an RN with Kindred at Home. She is the mother of my two wonderful granddaughters, Lexi and Harlie Ann.  My youngest daughter, Elizabeth, is the 4K teacher at York Road Elementary. My family loves to travel, go camping, scuba dive and relax at the beach.
