Mrs. Emily Hyatt
Hello, my name is Emily Hyatt. This is my fifth year teaching and fifth year teaching 5th grade at IDES. I graduated from Lander University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Even though I currently live in Rock Hill, I am not from there. I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. I came to Lander University on a softball scholarship and played all four years there. Go Bearcats! Even though I am proud of the Chicago Cubs for breaking their 108-year curse, I am a die-hard Chicago White Sox fan. You may know one of my favorite white Sox players A.J. Pierzynski, he used to be the catcher for the Atlanta Braves.
I’m so excited to be teaching 5th grade and getting the students prepared for their middle school adventure. My goal is to not only improve my students academically but make them good future leaders and citizens. I will be learning from the students just as much as they are learning from me. I am so excited to spend this next year getting to know all of them and seeing them grow throughout the year!
These are a few of my favorite things...
Favorite Color: Red
Favorite Season: Winter
Favorite Drink: Pepsi
Favorite Food: Cheeseburger
Favorite Dessert: Chocolate Chip Cookie
Favorite Animal: My Golden Doodle, TINA!
Favorite Hobby: Working Out at Burn Boot Camp
Favorite Movie: Hidden Figures
