Ayanna Gist Brice

My name is Ayanna Gist Brice and I am the Math Interventionist at Oakdale Elementary.  I am a Rock Hill native and graduated from Northwestern High School in 1999.  I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston in 2003 and a Master of Science degree in Teacher Leadership from Walden University in 2014.  My teaching experiences include first through fifth grades and I have taught in the Rock Hill and Fort Mill School Districts.

I have a wonderful husband and three beautiful children.  In my spare time, I enjoy watching tv, crafting, event planning, and spending time with my family and special friends. Some of my favorite foods are shrimp, cheese, and crab legs.  I am awkwardly afraid of squirrels and fat cats

As a teacher, I am passionate about planting, nurturing, and cultivating the seeds of excellence in ALL students.  As a teacher leader, I value establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with parents, my fellow teachers, and administration.  It is my intent to approach each step along my professional and personal journey with purpose, peace, and positivity.   The best is yet to come!
