Degrees and Certifications:
Dr. Debbie Jordan
Hello, my name is Debbie Jordan. The 2016-17 school year will mark my fourteenth year as a classroom teacher at Old Pointe. During my teaching career I have been fortunate to teach every grade level including middle and high school. This has given me unique insight into where a child has come and where a child will be going in relation to learning. I am a lifelong learner that uses an inquiry-based approach to teaching that utilizes a workshop methodology steeped in research, collaboration and individual modalities of learning.
As a lifelong learning, I am continuing my quest to become knowledgeable with best practices in the field of learning and education. This journey has enabled me to achieve a Doctorate Degree in Administrative Leadership, a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership, a Master’s Degree in Divergent Learning, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary. I hold a National Board Certification in the area of Early Childhood Generalist and a certification in Gifted/Talented. Teaching has enriched my life and brings me much satisfaction.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy relaxing at home with my husband, Frank. We are active in our church where Frank ministers and I am involved in teaching Children’s Church. Frank is also a teacher at Sullivan Middle, my son, Bryan, works in Washington with the NSA financial institute and my daughter, Amber, is a teacher with the Richland Two school district. Our family enjoys vacationing at the beach and spending time together.
